Seeds of Wellness (SOW) features a range of pure, plant-based food options.
Benexia, the Santiago, Chile-based leader in the vertical cultivation and processing of chia seed ingredients, is making its first foray into retail with the Seeds of Wellness (SOW) line of gluten-free chia consumer food products. The line provides consumers with a wide range of pure, plant-based food options for meals from breakfast through midnight snacks.
According to SOW Commercial Manager Paulina Penaloza, the new line ties in to the consumer trends such as the popularity of at-home-cooking, and consumer demand for healthier food options, particularly products containing plant-based protein.
“We created Seeds of Wellness after months of looking for these kinds of chia products to use at home and just not finding them,” Ms. Penaloza related.
The Seeds of Wellness line includes: gluten-free Chia Pasta (penne and fusilli); Chia Milk; Chia Shake; The Chia Baker (flour); Chia Crunch (toasted seeds); Chia Oil and Flavored Chia Oil; and Wake Up (sprinkle-on pasteurized chia seeds).
More and more people are getting back into the kitchen because they desire to be creative in prepping healthy and tasty meals for themselves and their families. “This is possible because Benexia chia is a naturally gluten-free, ancient whole grain,” Ms. Penaloza emphasized. “It is nutrient dense: composed of 40% dietary fiber, 22% protein, 20% omega-3 ALA (the richest plant source of ALA), vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
