Benexia™ Chia has an ORAC of 8200 umoles per 100 g. of seeds
Antioxidants are a group of vegetable elements that block the damaging effects of the so-called free radicals. Most antioxidants are found in plant foods, a fact that explains the benefits of including fruit, grains, vegetables and cereals in our daily diet.
The most important antioxidants found in Benexia™ Chia are caffeic acid and chlorgenic acid. Both elements are primary and synergic antioxidants and significantly contribute to the strong antioxidant activity of Benexia™ Chia.
These antioxidant properties are considerably stronger than those found in ferulic acid, as well as stronger than those in regular antioxidants such as vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol)

Antioxidant Capacity
The ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) range for most fruits is 1.4 TE umoles (watermelon) to 95 (cranberry)per gr. For vegetables or legumes, this range is 1.15 (cucumber) to 49 (red beans); for nuts, 7.19 (nuez caja) to 79.4 (pecan); and for dry fruits, 23.87 (dates) to 85.78 (prunes).
Benexia™ Chia has a ORAC of 8200 umoles per 100 gr. of seeds
Some research organizations on Human Nutrition and Ageing have established a recommended ORAC dosage of 5.000 daily units, for the prevention of age-related degenerative conditions.
